Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Operations Coordinator in Pretoria to organize daily farming activities, coordinate logistics, and streamline operations across management, field staff, and suppliers.

You will manage inventory, schedules, and records, ensuring efficient use of resources, strong communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards in the Agriculture & Forestry sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural operations or farm administration.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with agricultural management software and standard office tools.
• Knowledge of crop production cycles and farm equipment maintenance (advantageous).
• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily farm activities, ensuring timely planting, harvesting, and maintenance schedules.
• Manage farm inventory, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and services at competitive prices.
• Assist in the scheduling and management of farm labor, ensuring adequate staffing for all operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, production yields, and operational expenses.
• Facilitate communication between different farm departments and management to ensure alignment and efficiency.
