Job summary

Vine Recruitment is seeking a Farm Administration Manager in the Western Cape to oversee a small team and handle payroll, wages, and related financial reports. The role includes HR admin, audits preparation (Global Gap, SIZA), and maintaining farm records.

Responsibilities include food safety compliance, spray/fertigation logging, stock control, bank payments, and supporting the Farm Manager with ad hoc tasks. Strong Excel skills and accounting package knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification.
• 3+ years relevant experience in a similar position with knowledge of general farm administration / finance.
• Knowledge of an accounting package.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Sound communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team
• Provide accurate reports re monthly wages & other expenses
• Support management with variance reports
• HR administration, UIF, PAYE & all relevant payments, as well as overseeing wage payroll
• Administer food safety systems and prepare for annual audits (Global Gap, SIZA, etc)
• Monitor spray and fertilisation records
• Oversee stock control and recordkeeping
• Bank payment responsibilities
• Ad hoc tasks and support to the Farm Manager
