Placements24 is seeking a skilled Farm Mechanic to service and repair agricultural machinery in Mossel Bay. You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and complete repairs across tractors, harvesters, and related equipment.

The role requires diesel mechanics expertise, a proactive maintenance mindset, and flexibility to work weekends when needed. You will join a practical team in a well-equipped workshop with safety and efficiency as priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably with specialized knowledge of agricultural equipment.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all farm machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures in tractors, harvesters, and other farm vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they cause breakdowns.
