Job summary

Astral Foods Ltd's Festive breeder division is seeking a Farm Foreman to oversee six breeder houses, manage staff, and uphold bio-security on the farm. The role focuses on welfare of birds, records, vaccinations, ventilation, and GMP practices.

The ideal candidate will have a matric, at least five years of supervising breeder operations in a large poultry complex, and the ability to work overtime and weekends when required. Computer skills are an added advantage.

• 5 years breeder supervision experience in a large poultry complex.
• Ability to cope under pressure.
• Strong housekeeping and attention to detail.
• Computer knowledge is an added advantage.

Festive, one of South African's leading integrated poultry producers within the Astral Group, is seeking a Farm Foreman for their breeder division. The role will focus on taking responsibility of 6 Breeder houses and Managing staff, risk management and bio-security on the farm.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Taking responsibility of 6 Breeder houses.
• Managing staff, risk management and bio-security.
• Welfare of the birds.
• Clear understanding of registers, graphs, vaccinations, ventilation etc.

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• A matric qualification.
• 5 Years relevant Breeder experience in supervising a large poultry production complex.
• The ability to cope under pressure.
• Clear understanding of 20 keys.
• High standard towards housekeeping and attention to detail.
• Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
• The successful applicant must be self-motivated and have excellent people skills.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required.
