Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Worker to provide practical assistance to families in Paarl. You will conduct home visits, assess needs, and connect families with community resources to improve well-being.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in social care is preferred.

• Offer emotional support and a non-judgmental listening ear to family members, building trust and rapport.
• Develop and implement family support plans in collaboration with the family, setting achievable goals.
• Maintain confidential and accurate case notes, documenting interventions, progress, and any reported concerns.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Community Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with families or in a social support capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse families.
• Strong empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Knowledge of local resources and support services in the Paarl area.
