Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join its Family Services team in Vereeniging. This role focuses on providing comprehensive support to families facing various challenges, including relationship issues, financial difficulties, and parenting concerns.

You will work to strengthen family bonds, facilitate communication, and connect families with essential resources to promote stability and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
• Registration with SACSSP.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in family services, counseling, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of family systems theory and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication, active listening and empathy skills.
• Proficiency in case management and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of family dynamics, needs, and challenges.
• Provide counseling and support services to individuals and families to address psychosocial issues.
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to specific family needs.
• Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution sessions within families.
• Connect families with community resources, such as financial aid, housing support, and parenting programs.
• Maintain accurate case notes and progress reports in compliance with agency standards.
