Faculty Manager
Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.
Emeris National Office has a vacancy for a Faculty Administrator-Humanities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Material briefing and Development Administration
- Receives development plan with module tasks as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to begin workflows for responsible academic.
- Ensure a complete system setup for the material briefing and development libraries. Ensure folder creation for new material and the transfer of existing material.
- Creates workflow and assigns to responsible academic for that module.
- Accountable for ensuring moderated and edited module work is returned timeousbly.
- Responsible for uploading to the system for feedback.
- Reviews feedback and actions accordingly as per instructions from responsible academic.
Developer Briefing Administration
- Based on an approved development plan, completes contracts, annexures and briefing documents for the developer.
- Responsible for creating and tracking the progress according to development due dates.
- Supports the Developer with any administrative requirements they might have.
- Uploads the material onto the system for the relevant responsible academic to check if it meets the contract requirements. Internal moderation process begins
- Responsible for ensuring invoice is received and that the developer is paid once necessary approvals have been completed.
Collaboration
- Works closely with the Faculty Manager and Faculty Coordinators in providing a holistic/measured/well-rounded and considered approach to issues and challenges that exist.
Moderation administration instrument and moderation of invigilated and non-invigilated summative assessment scripts
- Shares contract agreement and annexures with approved moderator
- Ensures the signed contract is returned.
- Supports the moderation cycle from start to end.
- Responsible for ensuring the moderator's invoice is processed and payment takes place once the moderation cycle is complete.
Student Portal Management
- Ensure quality assurance of all student materials prior to publishing to the student portals, including all material is placed on the correct institutional templates
- Uploads and approves the final version for brands.
- Ensure all security labels have been removed and replaced so they are accessible by students and lectures.
Payroll administration
- Responsible for all onboarding and contract generation of Developer, Moderators and Module Leads as required by the faculty
- Collect and verify required documentation such ID, CV and qualifications, and upload all records to IC Shared Services.
- Receive annexure requests from Deans, Deputy Deans, Faculty Managers, the National Academic Manager, the National Deputy Academic Manager, and other authorised stakeholders.
- Verify the information submitted against APS records to confirm the individual’s Independent Contractor (IC) status and the existence of an active profile. Where no active profile exists, conduct the necessary MIE verification checks before proceeding.
- Prepare and draft the addendum in accordance with the request and facilitate the approval process through Adobe Sign, for the relevant Dean or Deputy Dean and the employee to sign the addendum
- Save the signed addendum upon completion and ensure it is accurately saved and maintained within the appropriate records management system.
- Collaborate with the IC Payroll Services team to obtain any missing documents (annexures, invoices, MIE, qualifications etc.) and signatures.

Minimum Qualification Requirement
- Minimum of a Diploma (NQF Level 6)
Minimum Work Experience Requirement
- 3years – Academic Administration and Operations Management within a Tertiary Academic Institution
