Job summary

Mars Food in Cape Town, South Africa, seeks a Factory Finance Business Partner to align financial leadership with manufacturing goals. You will partner with Plant Management to drive cost efficiency, deliver insights, and support planning across the manufacturing scope.

You will contribute to Mars' value creation roadmap and drive continuous improvement through robust financial analytics and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain partnering.
Strong understanding of cost and management accounting, capital project evaluation, and analytical techniques.
Working knowledge of supply processes (Demand Planning, S&OP, Inventory flow) and strong business acumen.
Ability to derive insights from financial data and communicate them effectively to the business.
Excellent interpersonal skills to manage conflict, handle ambiguity, and drive results.

Responsibilities

Act as key Finance Business Partner to the Plant Manager, advising on sound operational and strategic decisions.
Partner with manufacturing to drive performance, meet financial commitments, and champion continuous improvement.
Analyze trends to identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions.
Provide inputs for operating plans, revised forecasts, and strategic planning cycles for manufacturing scope.
Foster accountability by tracking action plans and addressing root causes to drive improvements.
Contribute to Global VCO Finance Team with best practices and high performance.
