Placements24 in Mahikeng seeks a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our client’s facilities safe, efficient and well-maintained. You will handle routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and respond to facility issues across building systems.

The role requires broad knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC, plus the ability to use hand and power tools. Travel within the Mahikeng area and a valid driver's license are required to coordinate maintenance across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar facilities role.
• Broad knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel within Mahikeng.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on buildings and grounds, including minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies with swift resolution.
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
