Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Facilities Manager for its Johannesburg site, with responsibilities spanning multiple South Africa offices. This on-site role partners with EHS, Security, Operations and other functions to deliver a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in facilities or property management, strong vendor and budget management, and proven leadership and stakeholder skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of facilities, workplace, or property management experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, security, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee facility-related activities across sites.
• Monitor maintenance programs and service levels.
• Ensure health, safety, security, and environmental compliance.
• Support workplace services like security, reception, and AV systems.
• Manage space utilization and capital projects.
• Review invoices and monitor budgets.
• Collaborate with EHS, Operations, and other functions.
