Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Cleaner for our Vereeniging client. The role combines cleaning across offices and workshops with light maintenance tasks to keep premises safe, clean, and operational.

You will work in a team, respond quickly to maintenance requests, manage basic supplies, and help uphold high standards of facility management. Hybrid schedule with some flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a facilities management context.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and light manual labor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine cleaning tasks across offices, workshops, and restrooms.
• Perform minor repairs such as fixing leaky faucets and replacing light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and address needs.
• Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of facility equipment and common areas.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling programs efficiently.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and basic maintenance materials.
