Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Facilitator Refresher Training to organize and lead refresher programs, ensuring safety culture standards are met across mining operations. You will coordinate training logistics, prepare materials, and maintain records to support high-quality delivery.

Based in the NC region, you will work within the People & Organisation department at band A3, reporting to the Learning Delivery Coordinator - Projects & Contractors.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent SAQA qualification.
• OD ETDP at NQF4 or equivalent ETD qualification.
• Higher National Certificate (NQF5).
• SA Driver's Licence.
• 3-5 years of relevant refresher training experience in mining.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite and SAP for documentation and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all health and safety practices requirements.
• Coordinate logistical and administrative tasks related to scheduling refresher training sessions.
• Ensure the availability of computers and all necessary training materials for participants.
• Maintain accurate refresher training records and attendee information.
• Compile and distribute documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations as requested.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of refresher training and implement improvements.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilitator Refresher Training. The purpose of this role is to Organise and facilitate Refresher training to achieve the mine’s desired organisational safety culture.

Job Description

As our Facilitator Refresher Training of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Adhere to all health and safety practices requirements.
• Promote good housekeeping to ensure compliance.
• Promote an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
• Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
• Coordinate logistical and administrative tasks related to scheduling refresher training sessions.
• Ensure the availability of computers and all necessary training materials for participants.
• Assist learners and employees in using computers and programs during computer-based training.
• Completed attendance registers.
• Availability of functioning computers and training materials.
• Accurate training reports.
• Document Control:
  • Oversee the maintenance of refresher training records and attendee information, ensuring accurate filing and matrices.
  • Process all documentation following company policies, procedures, and document control principles within specified time frames to ensure compliance.
  • Compile and distribute documents, briefing papers, reports, and presentations as requested by the department.
  • Organize and maintain training facilities, materials, and resources to meet training needs.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of refresher training and implement necessary solutions or changes to ensure high quality and competency.
  • Outputs:
  • Accurate refresher training matrices.
  • Refresher training status reports.
  • Training venues comply with legislative requirements.
  • Attendance registers up to date.
  • Accurate filing system.
  • Timely arrangements for all training sessions.
  • Availability of suitable training venues.

This role is in People & Organisation (P&O) NC department on a band A3 level reporting to the Learning Delivery Coordinator - Projects & Contractors

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate, NQF Level 4) or equivalent SAQA-recognised qualification.
• Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (OD ETDP) at NQF Level 4, or equivalent ETD qualification.
• Higher National Certificate on NQF5
• SA Drivers Licence

Technical Knowledge

• 3-5 years of relevant refresher training experience in mining.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of training content and materials related to various equipment.
• Understand and interpret company policies and procedures relevant to training and operations.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP for documentation and reporting purposes.
