Job summary

Catering Company in Boksburg, Gauteng is seeking a Food and Beverage Operations Controller to manage financial, inventory, and administrative functions, aiming to minimize waste and track costs to maximize profitability.

You will bridge kitchen operations, service, and executive management, overseeing stock takes, cost analyses, and reporting, while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of operational or cost-control experience in hospitality or food service.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data interpretation to identify cost-saving trends and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration with chefs, service teams, and senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily expenses, conduct menu/recipe costing, and perform variance analysis against budgets.
• Oversee routine stock takes for food and supplies, reconciling discrepancies.
• Efficiently order stock, verify deliveries for quality and quantity, and ensure proper storage and rotation.
• Conduct spot checks, monitor spoilage, and enforce requisition protocols.
• Update POS systems, reconcile recipes, and prepare daily and monthly F&B reports for upper management.
• Ensure storage and preparation areas comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
