Sibanye Stillwater offers a full-time study opportunity for local community members and labour sending areas in Rustenburg. Eligible applicants must hold a Grade 12 Matric with university acceptance and be enrolled at a university with at least 60% average.

They must also have an APS of 30 or higher and be medically fit for the program. Priority will be given to residents of Rustenburg and nearby labour sending areas who meet the university registration requirements.

• Disciplines include: BSc Mining Engineering, BSc Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation, BSc Geology Honours, BSc Mine Survey, Beng Tech Extraction Metallurgy / BSc Metallurgy/Chemical/Chemistry, BCom Finance/Accounting.
• Final allocation depends on acceptance letter from the University and successful screening.

Requirements

• Have a minimum Grade 12 Matric Certificate with University Acceptance (Mid-year results will be provisionally considered if currently studying)
• Currently enrolled at a university with an overall Average of 60% or higher
• Have the minimum university acceptance APS of 30 or higher
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
• Reside in Kroondal Labour sending Area or local community
• Achieved a minimum of at least: English 5 (60%+), Mathematics 5(60%+) and Physical Science 5 (60%+)

Advantageous Qualifications

• Applicants who have above 60% aggregate for Mathematics and English in grade-12
• Applicants who achieve an evaluation outcome score of 5 or higher

• A limited number of positions are being offered to local and labour sending community members for a full time study opportunity in line with the Sibanye’s business needs in the following disciplines:
• BSc Mining Engineering
• BSc Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation
• BSc Geology Honours
• BSc in Mine Survey
• Beng Tech Extraction Metallurgy / BSc Metallurgy/Chemical/Chemistry
• BCom Finance/Accounting.

Additional Requirements

• The selection process will not be delayed to accommodate applicants whose screening process is delayed for whatsoever reason.
• Final allocation is dependent on application obtaining an acceptance letter from the University.
• Applicants will need to undergo an interview process and psychometric assessment.
• Applicants must upload Proof of residence, CV, certified (SAPS) copies of ID and qualifications online
• Preference will be given to applicants from Rustenburg local communities and labour sending areas who meet the institution’s registration requirements
