Placements24 is seeking an Express Courier Driver to cover the Tembisa, Gauteng region and surrounding areas. You will deliver documents and parcels with speed, reliability, and a customer-centric approach, using GPS tools and company vehicles.

The role requires at least 2 years of courier experience, a valid PDP and Code 10 license, and strong route planning and time-management abilities. You will work in a fast-paced logistics environment, prioritizing safety and efficiency on every shift.

Qualifications

• Valid PDP and a clean driving license (Code 10 or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a courier or delivery driver, preferably in Tembisa or a comparable urban environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Tembisa and the broader Gauteng road network.
• Ability to navigate using GPS devices and mobile applications.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Execute timely and efficient delivery of documents, parcels, and other items to residential and commercial addresses within the assigned Tembisa and Gauteng routes.

• Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times, considering traffic conditions and delivery priorities.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including polite interaction, confirmation of deliveries, and collection of signatures where required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records using company-issued electronic devices or logbooks.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
• Handle packages with care, ensuring they remain undamaged and secure throughout the transit process.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams regarding delivery status, challenges, or any customer feedback.
• Manage a route that may involve multiple stops, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
