Placements24 is seeking a Local Courier Driver to manage express parcel deliveries in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will operate a light commercial vehicle, collect and drop parcels, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries with a focus on customer service.

You should have a valid Code B license, at least 2 years driving/delivery experience, a reliable cellphone for navigation, and the ability to work independently. The role requires punctuality, safety awareness, and great local knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a light commercial vehicle for the collection and delivery of parcels in and around Tembisa, Gauteng .
• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
• Ensure all parcels are handled with care, scanned correctly, and delivered to the correct recipients.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during delivery interactions.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and promptly report any issues, such as delays or failed deliveries.
• Conduct daily checks of the vehicle for maintenance needs and ensure cleanliness.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and other drivers to coordinate operations.
• Meet daily delivery targets and performance metrics set by the company.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Code B or higher).
