Placements24 is seeking an experienced Courier Van Driver to serve the Tembisa, Gauteng region for fast and reliable parcel delivery. You will operate a company-provided van, collect and drop packages, and present the face of the company to customers.

Key duties include on-time deliveries, daily vehicle checks, route planning with GPS, keeping the vehicle clean, and reporting issues to dispatch. Excellent customer service and professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 10 driver's license with PDP.
• Proven courier/delivery experience, preferably with van operation.
• Clean driving record with no significant traffic violations.
• Familiarity with the Tembisa area and surrounding Gauteng regions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry packages (weight limits may apply).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule.
• Must possess a smartphone for navigation and delivery tracking.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver parcels and packages to various business and residential addresses within the assigned delivery zone.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all deliveries and pick-ups.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Conduct daily pre-shift vehicle checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections, acting as a professional representative of the company.
• Utilize GPS and navigation tools effectively to plan optimal delivery routes.
• Manage delivery manifests and electronic proof of delivery systems accurately.
• Report any delivery issues, customer complaints, or vehicle problems promptly to the dispatch manager.
