Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a qualified Longhole Stope Rig Operator to join our operations in Polokwane. The role requires hands-on experience with Sandvik long hole drills, strict adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in demanding environments.

Candidates must hold a Longhole Stope Rig Certificate, Matric, and Dover results, plus a valid driver’s license and demonstrate medical fitness. Strong English communication and resilience are essential for success on site.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent is required.
• Longhole Stope Rig Certificate required.
• Dover results (medical/fitness) may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Medically fit for the position and environment.

Responsabilités

• Preparing the rigs for drilling and ensuring safety by following procedures.
• Charging holes and development drives using explosives and initiating systems.
• Maintaining the rig and ensuring tools/equipment are in good working order.
• Operating heavy drilling equipment in longhole and jumbo drills.
• Ensuring accurate hole placement and continuous equipment inspection.
• Safely using explosives and initiating systems.
