Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking two skilled Long Hole Rig Operators for a mining project in the Northwest Province. You will be responsible for safe operation, setup and tramming of the HPS H80 LHR, drilling according to design and recording operational data.

The role requires Grade 12, blasting certificate and at least 3 years experience, with a valid fitness certificate. You will maintain equipment, perform inspections, and adhere to safety standards to achieve daily targets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Blasting Certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Long Hole Rig Operator.
• Valid certificate of physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safety, Health and Environmental practices according to standards and procedures.
• Performing proper machine setup procedures.
• Carries out a pre-use inspection by using a checklist and physically testing the equipment.
• Drills required holes using the relevant drill rig according to set standards and procedures, diagnoses problem areas and reports any safety concerns to relevant Supervisor e.g., flammable gas detection, bad ground conditions, ventilation deficiency.
• Maintains and performs repairs on equipment according to standards and procedures e.g., replace mechanical and electrical components, scheduled planned maintenance, fault finding.
• Performs end of shift procedures.
• Performs any other activities as per instruction necessary for the effective completion of his work.
• Operating H80 LHR to drill long hole holes as per drill design.

Our client based in the North West Province is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Hole Rig Operators. This role is accountable for the safe operation, set-up and tramming of the HPS H80 LHR, achieving established daily operational targets, give training, recording prescribed operational data and reports, ensuring maintenance of rig and related equipment HPS equipment.
