Placements24 is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for a premier catering operation in Johannesburg. You will lead kitchen operations, mentor staff, oversee menu development, and ensure exceptional food quality and presentation at high-volume events.

The role requires a proven track record in fine dining or large-scale catering, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and strict adherence to HACCP and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in high-volume catering or fine dining.
• At least 2 years in a sous chef or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in HACCP and health regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assist Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, staff supervision, scheduling and training.
• Develop innovative and appealing menu items, specials, and buffet selections.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
• Manage inventory, ordering, stock control and wastage reduction.
