About the Role

Our client, a highly reputable Recruitment Consultancy with a strong focus on the energy sector, is seeking an accomplished Executive Recruitment Consultant to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This critical role involves sourcing and placing senior-level executives and niche technical specialists within the rapidly evolving energy industry, including renewables, oil, and gas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advising major energy corporations on their talent acquisition strategies and building robust talent pipelines. Operating from the strategic location of Mossel Bay , a key player in the regional energy landscape, this position demands a sophisticated understanding of executive search methodologies and a deep knowledge of the energy market. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility while ensuring critical client interactions take place effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting executive search assignments for senior management, C-suite, and specialist technical roles within the energy sector.
• Developing and executing comprehensive search strategies to identify and engage top-tier talent globally and locally.
• Building and maintaining strong, trusted advisor relationships with clients in the energy industry across South Africa .
• Performing in-depth candidate profiling, assessment, and reference checks to ensure the highest level of candidate quality.
• Managing the entire executive search process, ensuring timely and successful placements.
• Contributing market intelligence and insights to clients regarding talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Networking extensively within the energy sector to identify emerging leaders and build proactive talent pools.
• Collaborating with internal research teams to support search mandates.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in executive search, with a significant portion dedicated to the energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully completing complex, high-level search assignments.
• In-depth knowledge of the global and local energy markets (renewables, oil & gas, power generation, etc.).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at the executive level.
• Experience using advanced search techniques and talent databases.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Adaptability to a hybrid working model, with a willingness to attend client meetings in person as required.
