Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Manager to join the executive team in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will lead the enterprise-wide risk management framework and drive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across all business functions.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation in Pretoria.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of risk management experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Proven experience building and implementing enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methods.
• Deep understanding of SA insurance regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's risk management framework and policies.
• Identify, assess, and prioritise risks across operations, finance and strategy.
• Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce losses.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and process reviews.
• Monitor KRIs and emerging risks; report to senior management.
