Job summary

Karen Tupper Recruitment is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for a high-end operation in Cape Town. The successful candidate will oversee all kitchen activities, maintain high standards, and lead a busy team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

You must have a professional cookery qualification, 3+ years in an Executive Chef role, strong costing, purchasing and hygiene practices, and be willing to travel for interviews. Own transport and a valid driver’s license are required.

• Must hold a professional cookery qualification.
• Minimum 3 years in an Executive Chef role in a busy upmarket restaurant.
• Strong costing, purchasing and hygiene practices.
• Able to train and develop other staff members.
• Proven leadership with strong communication and people management.
• Based in Cape Town or willing to travel to Cape Town for interviews.
• Must have own reliable transport and valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work shifts.
