Job summary

Viking seeks an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead the galley operations onboard its premium cruise venues. You will supervise food preparation, presentation and service across events, ensuring Viking’s STAR Service standards.

With 4–5 years in a Chef de Cuisine role within luxury resort, hotel or restaurant environments, you will manage a multicultural team, uphold safety and quality, and collaborate with the Main Galley to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years as Chef de Cuisine or similar in a luxury hotel/resort or premium restaurant.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire galley operation for the assigned venue, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service.
• Act as liaison between Galley and Main Galley to ensure smooth coordination.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and adherence to Viking standards and health policies.
• Lead and train a multicultural crew, conducting daily briefings and performance reviews.
• Monitor inventory, requisitions, and menus; ensure accurate mise-en-place ahead of service.
• Perform random tastings and adjust dishes to meet quality standards.
