Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Food & Beverage Operations Director to lead all culinary and beverage operations for a premier property in Upington, South Africa. This senior role drives guest dining excellence, optimizes efficiency, and ensures profitability across all F&B outlets including restaurants, bars, and event catering.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years in F&B management with 4+ years in a director role, a hospitality degree, and a proven track record in P&L,

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive experience in food & beverage management.
• 4+ years in a Director-level role within high-volume hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic planning and day-to-day management of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banqueting operations.
• Develop and implement operational standards, service protocols, and quality control measures to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage the F&B budget, including forecasting, P&L responsibility, inventory control, and cost management, to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
• Lead, train, and mentor the F&B management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and refine menus in collaboration with culinary teams, ensuring variety, quality, and alignment with market trends and guest preferences.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment across all F&B operations.
