Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking diligent Event Setup Crew Members to support our event logistics team. You’ll arrange furniture, decor, and service equipment, and help load and unload supplies for catered events.

This hands-on, team-oriented role is ideal for reliable, energetic individuals who work well under deadlines, weekends, and public holidays, with training provided on safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform demanding tasks including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to scheduled shifts.
• Team player with good communication and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces according to floor plans and client requirements, including furniture and decor.
• Load and unload catering equipment, supplies, and decor from delivery vehicles.
• Assist with placement and organization of buffet stations, bar areas, and service equipment.
• Ensure all setup areas are clean, safe, and organized prior to event commencement.
• Support the catering team during breakdown by packing and securing equipment.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work efficiently to meet setup deadlines.
