Job summary

Placements24 is seeking reliable and energetic Catering Event Staff to join their casual team for events in Kimberley. You will assist with setup, serve guests, and help maintain a positive guest experience across the Northern Cape.

This on-site role offers flexible hours and the chance to gain experience in the events industry. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude, available for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
• A proactive and positive attitude towards tasks and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, and catering equipment.
• Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas and dining spaces during events.
• Replenish food and beverage stations as needed to ensure continuous availability.
• Respond to guest requests and provide assistance with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Support the catering team in various tasks to ensure the smooth execution of events.
