Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a premier winery, restaurant, and visitor center in Paarl, Western Cape. The role drives day-to-day operations, staff leadership, cost control, safety compliance, and guest satisfaction to uphold the estate's renowned service standard.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in operations management within wine, food & beverage, or hospitality, with strong leadership and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive operations management experience in wine/bev or hospitality.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Admin, or related field.
• Proven ability to lead multiple operational areas (production, F&B, retail).
• Strong financial acumen including P&L, budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays and reside near Paarl.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of winery, restaurant, and visitor center.
• Maintain top product quality and guest service standards.
• Schedule staff, train, evaluate performance, and develop talent.
• Control costs via inventory, procurement, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Refine procedures to boost efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Manage supplier and service provider relationships.
• Address operational issues and customer feedback promptly.
• Support development and execution of ops strategies and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain estate facilities' aesthetic and functional standards.
