Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer specialising in ergonomics to join our East London team. You will assess workplaces, design workstations, and implement strategies to reduce physical strain and improve safety and productivity.

You will apply human factors principles, develop training materials, and collaborate with safety officers and production managers to deliver ergonomic solutions across operations in East London.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial engineering with specialization in ergonomics or human factors.
• Knowledge of anthropometry, biomechanics, and principles of industrial hygiene.
• Experience with ergonomic assessment tools and techniques.
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees and management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations and work processes to identify and mitigate risks.
• Design and recommend improvements to workstations, tools, and equipment to enhance safety and comfort.
• Apply human factors principles to optimize the interaction between humans and systems or products.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on ergonomic best practices.
• Collaborate with safety officers, production managers, and employees to implement ergonomic solutions.
• Analyze injury data and incident reports to identify trends and areas requiring ergonomic intervention.
