Placements24 is seeking a proactive Ergonomics and Safety Engineer to enhance workplace safety and employee well-being at our East London facility. The role involves identifying hazards, optimizing workstation design, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in ergonomics, industrial hygiene, or safety engineering.
• Certifications in ergonomics (e.g., CPE) or safety (e.g., CSP) are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing safety solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations and tasks to identify and reduce risk factors.
• Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to minimize injuries and accidents.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local and national health and safety legislation and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and management on safety protocols and ergonomic best practices.
