Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking a skilled Trade Support professional to analyse complex Global Markets trades across multiple products. You will verify data accuracy, ensure proper booking, allocation and settlement, and resolve exceptions to mitigate risk.

You will collaborate with operations, technology and finance, applying pricing and risk knowledge to improve processes and controls in the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires a First Degree in Business, Finance and Accounting or Mathematical Sciences.
• Experience: 3-5 years in trade support or operations within a global markets environment.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycles, pricing and risk management impacts across P&L and risk.

Responsibilities

• Analyse a range of complex/global markets trades across products and asset classes.
• Verify accuracy of trade and client data and ensure correct booking, allocation, matching and settlement.
• Investigate and resolve exceptions and queries to mitigate operational risk and improve processes.

Analyse a range of complex and/or structured Global Markets trades across multiple products and asset classes, utilising knowledge and judgement to execute standard and non-standard procedures to verify the accuracy of trade and client data and ensure the effective booking, allocation, matching and settlement of trades throughout the lifecycle of events. Resolve exceptions and queries to mitigate adverse effects and operational risks. Identify and recommend solutions for process efficiencies.
