Belay Talent Solutions is seeking a Product Systems Analyst to support and optimize trading systems within Global Markets in Johannesburg. You will bridge business and technology, analyse requirements, and implement solutions to improve trading operations and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include incident management, system enhancements, and close collaboration with Trading, Treasury, Operations and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Requires foundational degree in IT, finance or analytics.
• Minimum 2–3 years supporting trading systems with financial markets exposure.
• Experience with FX, Money Markets and financial instruments is advantageous.

Product Systems Analyst (Trading Systems Support)

Support, maintain and optimise trading systems used within Global Markets, ensuring a stable production environment for trading, treasury and related business teams. The role bridges business and technology, identifying process improvements, troubleshooting issues, managing change, and implementing solutions that enhance trading operations and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain trading and market-facing systems.
• Ensure system stability, performance and business continuity.
• Analyse business requirements and implement technology solutions.
• Work closely with Trading, Treasury, Operations, Finance and Risk teams.
• Participate in system enhancements, projects and change initiatives.
• Manage incidents, problem resolution and support documentation.
• Ensure regulatory, governance and security compliance.
• Perform data analysis and SQL-based investigations.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams.
• Train users and support teams on systems and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• BSc Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics; or
• BCom Information Systems, Finance or Investments; or
• BTech IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Business Analytics.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification advantageous.

Preferred Degree Alignment:

• BCom Information Systems (strongest alignment)
• BSc Computer Science
• BCom Finance or Investments
• BSc Mathematics or Statistics
• Engineering Degree

Experience:

• 2-3 years' experience supporting trading systems.
• Exposure to financial markets, treasury or trading environments.
• SQL and data analysis experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A technically strong Product Systems Analyst with experience supporting trading systems in banking or capital markets. Strong knowledge of FX, Treasury and Money Market products, with solid SQL, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills. A BCom Information Systems is the preferred qualification, although Computer Science, Finance, Investments, Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering degrees are also highly relevant.
