Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist to join a fully remote team serving clients in Benoni and beyond. You will conduct EIAs, monitor environmental parameters, and develop management plans to minimize ecological footprints.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's or master's in environmental science or related field, at least four years' experience in environmental consulting or management, and strong reporting and regulatory interpretation skills suitable for remote work.

You will analyze environmental data, interpret regulations, and create strategies to minimize ecological footprints. The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental stewardship, possesses strong analytical and reporting skills, and thrives in a collaborative, remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and prepare related documentation for regulatory submission.
• Monitor environmental parameters (e.g., air quality, water quality, soil contamination) and analyze results.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national environmental legislation and policies.
• Advise clients on best practices for pollution prevention, waste management, and resource conservation.

Requirements
