The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of SA environmental legislation, and proven ability to conduct EIAs, prepare reports, and work hands-on in the field to mitigate impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations relevant to South Africa.
• Experience in conducting EIAs and managing environmental compliance on construction sites.
• Excellent fieldwork and site assessment skills.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and feasibility studies for development projects.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) to minimize ecological impact.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Advise project teams on environmental best practices and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare environmental reports, permit applications, and regulatory submissions.
• Respond to environmental incidents and manage remediation efforts as needed.
