Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Civil Engineer in Soweto, Gauteng. The role blends office design with site activities to minimize environmental impact while delivering waste management, water treatment, and remediation projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BSc in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of SA environmental regulations. A hybrid work model and travel to sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental civil projects.
• Knowledge of SA environmental regulations and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Design environmental engineering solutions (landfill, wastewater, remediation).
• Conduct EIAs and prepare regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee site investigations, data analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Monitor project environmental performance and mitigation.
