Job summary

Boam AI is seeking a technically seasoned Sales Engineer in Cape Town to lead pilots, design integrations, and translate partner needs into concrete data and API requirements. You will collaborate with product and engineering to ensure pilots progress smoothly and deliver measurable value for marquee customers like Uber Eats and Toast.

You will diagnose data flows, own discovery, and coordinate across teams while maintaining clear stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in a customer facing technical role.
• Experience with API integrations and data flows.
• Strong communicator with both technical and non technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, solution design, and integration planning.
• Partner with enterprise customers on pilots and early deployments.
• Translate messy partner data needs into concrete API and data feed requirements.
• Support implementation work across APIs, data feeds, and CRM connections.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, and data teams on requirements and scope.
• Translate customer needs into clear tickets, specs, and follow ups.
• Build and maintain demo environments, sample data sets, and playbooks.
• Help design and track pilot success metrics and reporting views.
• Collect structured feedback from users and stakeholders during pilots.
• Troubleshoot issues across data, configuration, and integrations.
• Provide input into roadmap based on real customer use and impact.
