Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings Ltd. in Richards Bay is seeking an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for the Sub-Acute Unit. The role focuses on basic patient care, monitoring and supporting admissions, under the Nursing Service Manager.

Candidates must be SANC-registered ENA and have at least three years’ experience in a General Ward; oncology experience is advantageous. The ideal person works independently, is reliable, and communicates well with doctors, patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Oncology patient experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours and under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and monitor vitals and observations.

• Ensure accurate documentation and equipment checks.

VACANCY: Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Sub-Acute Unit)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Understands and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organisation. Promote the health, welfare, and safety of all patients in the organisation.

This position reports to the Nursing Service Manager

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary in a General Ward
• Must be competent with the Hospital's Policies and Regulations
• Basic patient care, vitals & observation, assistance and aiding in patient admissions
• Equipment verification
• Accurately complete all relevant documentation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Must be registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
• Must have 3 years' experience as Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary in General Ward, Oncology patient experience will be advantageous.
• Must be prepared to work beyond the working hours when the need arises.
• Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
