Job summary

Nurture Health is seeking a caring Enrolled Nursing Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in Gauteng. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will support the Registered Nurse by providing hands-on care, monitoring changes in patients, and helping patients feel safe during rehabilitation.

You will carry out nursing duties per policies, observe patients, and report changes to the nursing team. A commitment to patient wellbeing and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
• Experience providing nursing care to patients with complex care needs, preferably in the private sector.
• Strong observation, communication, organisation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily nursing duties and patient care per shift leader's instructions and policies.
• Observe patients and report changes to the Registered Nurse and healthcare team.
• Provide safe, hands-on care including movement, skin and pressure care, hydration and toileting, and clear handovers.

Job description

Nurture Health is looking for a caring and patient-focused Enrolled Nursing Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will support the Registered Nurse by providing hands-on care, noticing and reporting changes in patients, and helping patients feel safe and supported during their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out your daily nursing duties and patient care tasks according to the shift leader’s instructions and Nurture Health’s nursing policies and routines.
• Observe patients carefully, report any changes in their condition, and share clear information with the Registered Nurse and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide safe, respectful hands-on care, including helping with movement and positioning, skin and pressure care, hydration and toileting needs, observing symptoms and medication effects, and giving clear handovers.

Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, with experience providing nursing care to patients with more complex care needs, preferably in the private healthcare sector.
• Basic knowledge (Level 1) of rehabilitation practice, learning and development, and professionalism, with good observation, communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
• A caring and responsible team player who is passionate about patient wellbeing and rehabilitation, follows the SANC Code of Ethics, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable working within clear routines and guidelines.
