C3 Resource Investments (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (10+ years) to lead the design and engineering of mechanical process equipment for demanding process plant projects in South Africa. You will provide technical guidance and take projects from concept through commissioning, with emphasis on pressure vessel and shell-and-tube heat exchanger design.

Ideal candidates hold a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 10 years of design experience in process

Competenze

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 10 years' mechanical design experience in process plant.
• Essential: proven pressure vessel and/or shell-and-tube heat exchanger design.
• Strong knowledge of process piping, equipment fabrication and manufacturing.
• Familiar with ASME/EN/SANS pressure equipment codes and standards.

Mansioni

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (10+ years) to join a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to technically challenging process plant projects.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the design and engineering of mechanical process equipment, providing technical guidance and supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

Proven experience in pressure vessel and/or shell-and-tube heat exchanger design is an essential requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems and associated process plant equipment.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing and technical assessments.
• Develop and review mechanical specifications, drawings, datasheets and fabrication documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers, designers and draughtsmen.
• Support projects through detailed engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and equipment suppliers.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' mechanical design experience, preferably within process plant or EPCM environments.
• Essential: Demonstrable experience in pressure vessel and/or shell-and-tube heat exchanger design.
• Strong knowledge of process piping, mechanical equipment, fabrication and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with relevant pressure equipment codes and standards, including ASME, EN and SANS.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Plant 3D, PV-Elite or CAESAR II advantageous.
• ECSA Professional Registration (Pr Eng) advantageous.
