Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design or Technical Draughting.
• 15+ years' experience in industrial piping design.
• Extensive experience in 3D piping modelling, plant layouts, piping isometrics and fabrication drawings.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD or comparable piping design software.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering specifications and equipment layouts.

Responsabilités

• Lead the 3D design and layout of complex industrial process piping systems.
• Develop and review piping general arrangements, isometrics, spool drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Oversee piping routing, equipment interfaces, pipe supports and plant layouts.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate piping designs with Mechanical, Process, Structural, Civil and EC&I engineering disciplines.
• Conduct design reviews, identify clashes and resolve complex piping layout challenges.
• Ensure compliance with relevant piping codes, engineering standards and project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to piping designers and draughtsmen.
• Support fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning activities.

About the Role

An excellent opportunity exists for a highly experienced Senior Piping Designer (15+ years) to take a leading role in the design and coordination of complex industrial piping systems. The successful candidate will combine advanced 3D piping design expertise with technical leadership, overseeing piping layouts, guiding junior designers and ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary process plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the 3D design and layout of complex industrial process piping systems.
• Develop and review piping general arrangements, isometrics, spool drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Oversee piping routing, equipment interfaces, pipe supports and plant layouts.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate piping designs with Mechanical, Process, Structural, Civil and EC&I engineering disciplines.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design or Technical Draughting qualification.
• More than 15 years' experience in industrial piping design, preferably within process plant or EPCM environments.
• Extensive experience in 3D piping modelling, plant layouts, piping isometrics and fabrication drawings.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD or comparable piping design software.
• Sound knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, supports and fabrication practices.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering specifications and equipment layouts.
• Working knowledge of relevant piping codes, particularly ASME B31.3.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex piping designs and mentor less experienced designers.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
