Job summary

TFG (The Foschini Group) in South Africa is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive the OneX strategy, oversee architecture, and guide a high-performing development team through the evolution of the platform and its integration with Omni point of sale.

You will partner with product management, mentor engineers, review code, manage 3rd party vendors, and own budget responsibilities while delivering on time and with quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience delivering complex software projects using .NET/C#.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead team, provide guidance and mentorship to build high-functioning development teams.
• Drive evolution of OneX strategy aligned with TFG board objectives.
• Oversee extension of platform and integration into Omni point of sale.
• Participate in requirements reviews with product management and liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery and functional commitments.
• Provide technical guidance and maintain development standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce comprehensive code reviews.
• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and budget lifecycle.
• Oversee budget planning and variance analysis.
