Job summary

Praesignis (Pty) Ltd in South Africa seeks an Engineering Lead / Architectural Specialist to drive a large-scale digital transformation. You will provide technical direction across engineering teams, ensure alignment with enterprise standards and guide solution design and integration.

You will collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects, review designs, support scalable digital solutions, oversee APIs and backend services, manage delivery risks, and promote modern software practices

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
• Strong experience in enterprise-scale digital delivery.
• Experience with software architecture and solution design.
• Strong understanding of APIs, backend services and systems integration.
• Experience with API-led and/or event-driven architecture.
• Experience working within Agile engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Financial services, banking or insurance experience is highly advantageous.
