Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking a civil engineer to perform detailed designs across earthworks, water and drainage systems, pavements and road geometry in Centurion. You will model services in Civil 3D and Revit and size pumps, interceptors and tanks.

The role requires 4+ years post-qualification experience, strong software skills in Civil 3D/EPANET/SWMM, and the ability to lead small projects while coordinating with teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience.
• Solid knowledge of civil design software such as Civil 3D, EPANET and SWMM.
• Broaden knowledge of other civil design software.
• Must have experience in the design of building services (water supply, sewerage, stormwater, ducting, road layer works, pavements & bulk earthworks).
• Some experience in leading small design projects, including resource planning and design time frame estimates.
• B.Eng./BScEng Degree
• M.Eng Degree advantageous

Responsibilities

Job description

Here is what you will be doing:

• Under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Associate Engineer, perform detailed designs involving, but not limited to bulk earthworks, water reticulation, pavement design, stormwater, sewerage, road geometry and cable ducts.
• Modelling of civil engineering services in Civil 3D and Revit.
• Specification, analysis and sizing of civil engineering equipment such as submersible pumps, interceptors and tanks.
• Take responsibility for civil engineering design and drawings.
• Be part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members and contractors.
• Attend planning, design and site meetings, and ad-hoc site inspections.
• Independently manage projects of low complexity.
• Work to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles in civil engineering documentation such as reports, analysis and specifications.
• Promote compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal QA procedures for all design activities.
• Assist with the compilation of bids and proposals.
