Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic or Fitter with minimum N6.
• Matric with Grade C or better in Mathematics, English and Science.
• At least 5 years' experience on heavy-duty Cummins diesel engines.
• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
• Trade certificate or equivalent experience (Preferred).
• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred).
• Licenses or certifications may be required for export controls (Possible).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve engine issues through advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Lead teardowns and ensure adherence to Cummins standards.
• Coach and develop junior technicians through technical guidance.
• Perform detailed engine inspections and failure analysis to identify issues early.
• Provide exceptional customer support and maintain clear stakeholder communications.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance; participate in toolbox talks and continuous improvement.
