About the Role

This role requires a strategic thinker with robust organizational skills to oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the successful delivery of complex energy solutions. You will be instrumental in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving projects forward within the vibrant KwaZulu-Natal energy market. This is a critical on-site position, demanding hands‑on leadership and a commitment to achieving project milestones with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of energy projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues that may impact timelines or costs.
• Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators (KPIs ), and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven track record of at least 7 years in project management , with significant experience in the energy sector .
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and risk management principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience managing diverse teams on-site.
