You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external legal teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and contribute to infrastructure and resource development in KwaZulu-Natal.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with substantial experience in energy or mining law.
• Strong knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks for energy & natural resources.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex project agreements.
• Experience with environmental permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance for energy and mining projects.
• Draft and negotiate contracts related to project development, procurement, and operations.
• Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures in the sector.
• Advise on environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
• Manage legal aspects of project financing and stakeholder agreements.
