Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, focused on energy law.
• Strong knowledge of South African energy regulations, contract law, and financing.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex energy-related contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on energy law, regulations, and project development matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts specific to the energy sector, including PPAs and EPCs.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, environmental law, and permitting for energy projects.
• Manage legal risks related to project financing, construction, and operations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on energy policy and market developments.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and external counsel.
