Job summary

HumanRise ZA is seeking a senior veterinary professional to provide emergency treatment and intensive care for critically ill and injured companion animals. The role requires a recognised veterinary degree and a certified specialization in emergency and critical care, with at least five years of clinical experience.

You will triage, resuscitate, stabilise and monitor patients, coordinate nursing care and shift handovers, and develop intensive care plans.

Qualifications

• Recognised veterinary degree is required.
• Certified specialisation in emergency and critical care is required.
• Minimum five years’ clinical experience in veterinary emergency/ICU.
• Strong triage, resuscitation and monitoring skills required.
• Willingness to relocate and work in shifts in a 24/7 emergency setting.

• Assess and prioritise emergency presentations.
• Stabilise critically ill patients and perform emergency interventions.
• Develop and oversee intensive care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care, specialist input and handovers.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and update owners.

These positions are residential and based either in Riyadh or Jeddah and are residential with annual leave and a return flight back to South Africa. Our client makes use of modern medical equipment and technology.
