Job summary

Edelman is seeking a Client Finance Coordinator to join the South Africa finance team and support selected EMEA client finance administration. This is a hands-on finance operations role, structured, accurate, and comfortable with detailed administrative work, recurring deadlines and stakeholder follow-up across markets.

The role improves process consistency, reduces duplicated admin, and enables senior finance colleagues to focus on business partnering and performance management.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English for international environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling structured data.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet weekly/monthly deadlines.
• Experience with finance systems and following documented processes.
• Clear communication and professional stakeholder follow-up across markets.
• Good judgment on escalation when needed.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain administrative trackers and support routine setup requests.
• Prepare billing administration packs; gather invoice backup, POs and project codes; track status.
• Distribute AR/AP or working capital reports; maintain follow-up trackers.
• Perform first-pass checks for data completeness and tracker status; prepare exception lists.
• Run and distribute standard finance reports per calendar; populate templates.
• Document, file and archive invoices, approvals, reconciliations, and related documentation.
• Maintain SOPs, handover notes, and escalation routes; support transition of tasks.
• Coordinate routine follow-up across SA finance, EMEA Client Finance, Billing / FSS and other teams.
