Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach to join a multidisciplinary team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role combines on-field coaching with remote program design, data analysis, and collaboration across sports.

You will develop science-based strength and conditioning programs, monitor athlete performance, and work with medical staff to optimize injuries prevention and recovery. hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with elite athletes/teams.
• Certification from a recognized body (e.g., CSCS, ASCA Level 4).
• Proven ability to design and implement evidence-based training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee year-round, periodized strength and conditioning programs.
• Assess athletes' physical capabilities, movement, and injury risk factors.
• Use performance monitoring tech to track load and progress.
• Provide direct coaching during training sessions.
• Collaborate with coaches, physiotherapists, and physicians for integrated care.
• Educate athletes on strength, nutrition, recovery, and injury prevention.
• Stay updated with research and best practices in sports science.
• Maintain training records and performance data.
• Contribute to departmental policies and procedures.
• Potential remote consultations and program adjustments based on data.
